notcalifornia is a portrait of surfing in and around Brighton. exploring the five main breaks in the area, vividly expressing the different vibe of each place.
It was the enthusiasm of the Brighton surfers that got this done and it shows!

ONEDAY
ONEDAY now means one day! 24 hours of intense filmmaking.
From sunrise to dawn the following morning, our cameras will be filming everything from surfing and beach parties to wild flowers and shepherds. Join us on this revealing journey through the beautiful surf and stunning countryside of North Devon.
Our production window is September to October 2008. We are now watching the weather systems, so keep an eye out below, for the start of the 5 day countdown to the start of first filming at sunrise. Alternatively sign up for an email alert when we choose the day & start the countdown.

Pollination

Lunch in Porthleven, Dinner in Devon
An exiled Cornishman and a big wave rider from Devon, an old Bedford Rascal camper van. Part surf movie, part road movie, meets alfresco food and chintzy restaurants.
We don't fully understand this project yet, will let you know when we do!

Valley of the Wolves
'Valley of the Wolves' derives from the ancient meaning of the place name Woolacombe. As winter approaches, all sorts of things change. The chip shop has closed and its getting dark and cold what else could we do?
It's often those that might be considered long in the tooth that reveal their true nature. Watch this one evolve over the next couple of years!
